NEW ORLEANS PELICANS VS DALLAS MAVERICKS (PELICANS +6)

Today we have the Pelicans covering 6 against the Mavericks.

Lately Doncic has been battling his hand injury that may be affecting his shot. He has been shooting 14.4% from 3 the past 4 games. This affects not only his ability to shoot from 3, but his ability to spread the floor as well.

The Pels have seen a spike in rebounds with Zion which should make a big difference since the 3 games against the Pels the Mavs have out rebounded them all 3 games, while Doncic averaged 11.3 rebounds a game.

Though this will be the Mav’s first home game back after a 4-game road stretch, this will also be the Mav’s 5th game in 8 days while traveling between each (SA -> Miami -> Minnesota -> Chicago -> Dallas). Going back even further they’ve had 6 away games in the past 7.

The Pelicans are going to have to win these games if they want a shot at the 8 seed getting into the playoffs. They’re currently 4 games behind a Grizzlies team that is missing JJJ. The Mavs have also won the 3 meets between the two this year and in my opinion will be hard for the Mavs to beat a good team 4 times in one season. The Pels are also 6-2 ATS on back-2-back games this season.
